The Fall Hangouts We Wished We Had
Whether your fall includes pumpkin spice everything and comfy sweats or lazy football Saturdays and light beer, the fall season can bring out the true basic-ness in all of us. And it should be embraced after the summer season trying to keep up with the weddings, events and poolside gossip. But when it comes to fall spaces that are offered up at our favorite apartment properties in town, there is nothing basic about them. Here are a couple of our favorite fall hangouts we wished we had at our fingertips.
The bocce court at The Foundry. With the heat at bay, its time to channel the old-timers outside of La Prima after hours with a red wine in one hand, a bocce ball in the other. In between throws, zip over to the firepit to make sure your throwing hand is at its optimal throwing temperature.
Cafe Americano at the Residences at the Alcoa Building. Before you even hit the crisp fall morning air, residents can have a hot latte or tea in their hands. Extra benefit, go enough so they see you walking from the elevator and start making your drink of choice and be that ‘cool’ regular that the barista knows.
The walk to PPG Paints Arena from Flats on Fifth. For those Pens fanatics, you can dodge expensive parking and be in your seat at the arena from your couch in five minutes flat. And since we expect another deep run into the playoffs, those parking savings could just mean you can travel to some away playoff games in May & June.
The firepit at The Foundry. The Lawrenceville property is on here twice for good reason. I mean just one look at the view from this firepit and you can see why! And if someone scooped this spot before you for the evening (rude!), no worries, there is another fireplace in the courtyard.
The view from The Clark Building. Easily the best rooftop in the city, the views here are epic. So where better to hang with a glass of cider and friends to peep the changing leaves than on the lounges on 24th-floor rooftop.
The outdoor hot tub at The Yards. It’s a universal truth that its fun to be outside in a bathing suit in a hot tub when its chilly outside. We don’t know why, it’s just a scientific fact.
The screening room at Eastside Bond. Weekend football never looked better than in your own personal screening room for the day. If you invite us over we’ll bring the beer.
The study at Bakery Living. With a cup of coffee in hand (from the lobby Starbucks machine) and maybe a book or magazine from the stocked shelves, this space is the perfect place to curl up for a Sunday morning read. And for the students out there, also the spot to cram in those late night study sessions with an unlimited supply of the aforementioned Starbucks coffee.
